Adding and deleting image sequences in a collection

A collection can have any number of image sequences that each contain a list of images, such as for an animation. You can display the images in order, or encode them into a video. You can create image sequences, and add and delete images in the sequence, using a web browser, or Add and delete files from the command line.

Adding image sequences

SeedMe manages special groups of images as a sequence, separating them from other images in a collection. See SeedMe's list of Supported content types.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection to which you wish to add a file.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Click the (Add) button at the top-right of the tab list to add a new sequence.
  5. Fill in the new sequence form, selecting the image files to upload and setting the title and description.
  6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Editing image sequences

You can change a sequence's title and description.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection containing the file you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Click the (Edit) button beside the sequence you wish to edit.
  5. Adjust the title or description in the sequence form.
  6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, you can click on the (Edit) button at the top-right of the page when viewing one of your sequences.

Deleting image sequences

Image sequences in a collection can be deleted, along with all of their images. There is no undo, so if you might need a sequence's images again, save them first to your computer.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection containing the file you wish to delete.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Click the (Delete) button beside the sequence you wish to delete.
  5. Click the OK button in the delete confirmation dialog.

Alternatively, you can click on the (Delete) button at the top-right of the page when viewing one of your sequences.

Adding images to an image sequence

You can add images to an image sequence. The images are automatically sorted alphabetically into the sequence. When using numbered image files, the numbers should have leading zeroes so that the images sort into the sequence properly.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection containing the file you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Click the (Edit) button beside the sequence you wish to edit.
  5. Click the (Add) button at the top-right of the sequence's image list in the lower part of the page.

  6. Upload one or more images to the sequence.

  7. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Deleting images from an image sequence

You can delete images from an image sequence.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection containing the file you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Click the (Edit) button beside the sequence you wish to edit.
  5. Click the (Delete) button beside the image you wish to delete.

  6. Click the OK button in the delete dialog.

Creating a video from an image sequence

You can create a video in your collection by encoding the images in an image sequence.

  1. Click the Collections menu bar item to view a list of existing collections.
  2. Select the collection containing the file you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the image sequence tab.
  4. Select the image sequence you wish to encode to a video.
  5. Click the Encode to video button at the bottom of the page.

  6. Fill in the title, description, and frame rate in the video form.

  7. Click the Encode button at the bottom of the page to start the encode.

Encoding images into a video can take awhile. Meanwhile your web browser will return to viewing your collections. When the video encoding is done, a new video will be included on the video tab of your collection.
