SeedMe collections organize images, videos, and other data files posted from the command-line or added using a web browser.
Each file must be less than 100 Mbytes.
Images are expected in standard web formats like PNG, JPEG, and GIF. Images in these formats will be shown as thumbnails in image file lists, and at full-size on individual image file pages.
Images in other file formats, like TIFF, may be submitted to SeedMe, but they will be treated as generic files. These images will still be listed as part of a collection, but they will not be shown with thumbnails or displayed on image file pages.
Videos are expected in standard web formats like MPEG-4, WebM, and QuickTime. Videos in these formats will be playable on individual video file pages, if the user's browser supports them.
Videos in other file formats, like MKV, may be submitted to SeedMe, but they will be treated as generic files. These videos will still be listed as part of a collection, but they cannot be played directly on a web page.
Data and documentation files
All other files submitted to SeedMe are assumed to be data or documentation files. This includes files in formats like CSV, XML, DAT, KML, TXT, DOCX, HTML, and PDF. This also includes archive files, such as those in TAR, TGZ, GZ, and ZIP formats. All of these files are treated generically. They will be listed as part of a collection.
